Biomax
Double Boiler for wood and pellets
The Biomax boiler is a double boiler which allows you to
choose which fuels you'll use. On the one side, you can burn cord wood and
other biomass materials with an output of 20 kw (68,000 btus). On the
second side, you can install a burner that suits your needs, such as the Viking
Bio which will burn pellets and produce 68,000 btus per hour.
In addition to the two distinct boiler sides; the Biomax
can work as an electric boiler with an output of 30,000 btus, which is
sufficient for most homes for the majority of the year.
The firewood combustion chamber is 15.7
inches deep and is designed for reverse gasification combustion. It has
ceramic grates and an afterburner. The boiler is lit using the included
LPG lighter in about a minute.
Firewood burning requires an accumulator
tank to achieve the most convenient and efficient system. During
gasification more heat is generated than your system can use, the accumulator
tank will save this heat in the same regards as a battery stores electricity.
The stored heat can then be used later when the system demands.
